We are proud to announce that the topDNS initiative of eco - Association of the Internet Industry is returning to Nordic Domain Days for 2026.
The topDNS partnership with Nordic Domain Days has become one of the most consistent and meaningful collaborations in our program. What started as a single session has grown into a well-established platform for exchange, cross-sector collaboration, and tangible progress in tackling online abuse in the Domain Name System.
For 2026, eco and iQ Global are once again joining forces to host the DNS Abuse Workshop on Tuesday, May 26th. Now in its fifth year, the workshop has become a cornerstone of the NDD program. This year, the focus is on the E-Evidence Regulation, which introduces new obligations for service providers, including domain registries, registrars, and hosting companies, to respond to European Production and Preservation Orders. With the regulation applicable from August 2026, the timing could not be better.
The workshop will equip participants with practical knowledge and tools to handle these requests correctly while safeguarding due process, data protection, and operational efficiency. Expect real-life scenarios, hands-on exercises, and a collaborative plenary session to develop shared recommendations.
As always, Thomas Rickert, Director Names & Numbers at eco, and Lars Steffen, Head of International Digital Infrastructures & Resilience, will be instrumental in making sure our Policy and Abuse track is best in class. They will be joined by Ulrich Plate, Head of the KRITIS working group at eco, along with a strong lineup of speakers and panelists from across the industry.
We are grateful for this continued partnership. The work that topDNS and eco do, both at NDD and beyond, is a reminder of how much our industry can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose.
More details on the workshop agenda can be found on eco's event page.
