The Clarion Hotel Stockholm is just about sold out for our Nordic Domain Days 2026 dates. If you have not booked your room at the venue yet, you may need to look elsewhere. And if you are reading this from across an ocean, do not wait much longer.
The good news is that Södermalm is full of good hotel rooms within an easy walk of the venue. Here are three solid alternatives we are happy to recommend, all within roughly 10 to 20 minutes on foot from Clarion at Ringvägen 98.
Scandic Malmen
Götgatan 49-51. A Stockholm classic and one of the best-known hotels on Södermalm. Scandic Malmen sits right on Medborgarplatsen at the top end of Götgatan, surrounded by restaurants, bars and cafés. From the front door it is a straight 15-minute walk down Götgatan to Clarion. The hotel itself is fully renovated, has its own restaurant and bar, and the kind of reliable Scandic standard most of you already know.
Walk to Clarion: about 15 minutes. Book: scandichotels.com/scandic-malmen
Hotel Point
Östgötagatan 65. A smaller, independent 3+ star hotel tucked into the SoFo neighbourhood of Södermalm. Quiet street, easy access to the area's small theatres, restaurants and pubs, and the closest of the three to the venue. You can comfortably walk it in under ten minutes. A good fit if you prefer something a little more low-key than the big chains, with friendly service and straightforward, well-kept rooms.

Motel L Hammarby Sjöstad
Hammarby allé 41. If you want something modern and a little different, Motel L sits across the water in Hammarby Sjöstad, one of Stockholm's most pleasant newer neighbourhoods. Bright, design-led rooms, a generous breakfast included, a lobby bar, and the tram right outside the door. The walk to Clarion via Skanstull takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes and gives you a nice slice of the city along the way. The tram or a quick taxi covers it in a few minutes if you would rather skip the stroll.

A few practical notes
- Book sooner rather than later. Stockholm is a busy city in late May, and the rest of Södermalm is filling up alongside the Clarion.
- Walking is easy. Södermalm is flat, pedestrian-friendly, and feels safe at any hour. You will not need a taxi to get to the venue from any of these hotels.
- Public transport works well too. The metro (red line, Skanstull station) and the tram are right by the venue if the weather turns Nordic on us.
If none of the above works for you and you are stuck, drop a line to info@nordicdomaindays.com and we will do our best to help. See you in Stockholm in May!
