We are excited to welcome Gavin Brown, Principal Engineer in ICANN's Global Domains & Strategy division, to Nordic Domain Days 2025. With nearly 25 years of experience in the DNS and domain name industries, Gavin brings deep expertise in registry technology and protocol development to our stage.

Before joining ICANN in 2023, Gavin spent 22 years at CentralNic (now Team Internet PLC), where he served as CTO and Chief Innovation Officer. His contributions to the industry extend beyond his corporate roles - he has co-authored multiple IETF RFCs, including the EPP Launch Extension (RFC8334) and EPP Fee Extension (RFC8748), demonstrating his commitment to advancing domain industry standards.

In his session, Gavin will introduce the RESTful Provisioning Protocol (RPP), a new IETF initiative aimed at developing a modern alternative to EPP. As our industry evolves, this new protocol promises to bring domain provisioning into alignment with contemporary API design principles, potentially reshaping how registries and registrars interact in the years to come.
