We are pleased to welcome back Christian Schöpp of RcodeZero DNS / nic.at to the Tech! stage at Nordic Domain Days 2026.

Christian works at nic.at, the registry behind Austria's country code top-level domain .at, where he is part of the team running RcodeZero DNS, their authoritative Anycast DNS service. It is the kind of infrastructure that most people never think about until it stops working, and his job is to make sure it never does.

In his session "Insights into Operating an Anycast DNS Service," Christian will share what it actually looks like to keep an authoritative DNS service robust and fail-safe, day after day, for nic.at and their external customers. Expect an honest look at the operational challenges, the things that break, the things that almost break, and what keeps him coming back to do it again.

"To meet people I only meet there," says Christian, when asked what brings him back to NDD.
