Nordic Domain Days 2022 has come and gone. The fifth edition and first-ever stand-alone NDD has come to a close. As the organizer, after hearing the initial feedback from attendees and partners, I can only describe the event as a success. This post is my retrospective thank you note to everyone that made it possible.
But first, I have a few numbers to share.
Over 250 people from 128 companies, and 35 countries, walked the venue during the Nordic Domain Days. Two hundred twenty-three of them were registered attendees, while the rest was speakers and crew. A 25% increase from our last event. Another improvement seen is the no-show rate, which was less than 3% compared to 8% during the previous Nordic Domain Days.
This turned out to be the perfect size, even if I got a few comments that Nordic Domain Days should be three days long instead of two because there were still meetings to be had when we had to go home. Who knows what this means for future events?
I have plenty of mentions I want to make, so I might have to compress them a little, but;
Our team is not the largest in any comparison, but it would have been impossible to make this event a reality without Gianni and Katarina. Without Tobias, Martine and Fredrik, the build would never have left the ground. Without Theresa, no one would have gotten their badge. Without Jörgen, the speakers would have stayed silent.
Thank you!
Without our partners, we could not have had the excellent Clarion Hotel Stockholm as our venue, nor could we have been offered tasty snacks, food, and drinks. They enabled us to put on the show we did, and I am personally grateful to each and every one of them.
Thank you!
And last but not least, our attendees. Who came and made Stockholm their place of business for a time. The domain name and hosting industry have a great sense of community, which clearly shows when you pack them into a small space for a few days. I cannot even guess how many meetings were had and how many deals were made. However, I do know that I saw a crowd of people, all happy to be able to meet each other in person again.
Thank you!
To end this note, I want to mention that I have got quite a bit of feedback already, most of it overwhelmingly positive, but my inbox is always open to more. So if you want to share with me, feel free to do so, whether it's good or bad. Any learnings had or to be had, will be noted and used to evolve Nordic Domain Days because...
Nordic Domain Days will be back in 2023.
