For the third year in a row, the TopDNS initiative from ECO will host the DNS Abuse Workshop at Nordic Domain Days, with the support of iQ.
In previous years, the focus has been on what registries and registrars can do to mitigate malicious behavior online, and the participants have worked on the now-published Stockholm Recommendations.
This year, the participants will have the opportunity to discuss how we can achieve better cross-sector discussion and collaboration, bringing together domain name registries and registrars with hosting, cloud, and email service providers, content delivery networks, and ISPs.
The aim is to create a mutual understanding of how different types of abuse are dealt with by various kinds of intermediaries and service providers, the challenges associated with certain types of abuse, and how closer cooperation can help combat online harm more effectively, especially content-related issues. What are the opportunities and low-hanging fruit in terms of policy and technology?
